The paper presents the key findings of the quantitative research into international student’s perspective of education in China and Türkiye. Adopting a scalar investigation, the research deconstructs education into three levels: students, institutions, and higher education, to explore the dynamics and interactions of four key domains: environment, economics, academics, and interaction. Utilizing a quantitative research survey adapted from the two most employed student surveys in the world, a total of 387 surveys were collected from international students studying in higher education in China and Türkiye. The research reveals how students are active participants in educational choice within the country-respective unique field of internationalization. Key finding notes consistent ratings for Content Satisfaction and Developmental Expectations with different elements of push and pull profiles for China and Türkiye respectively. Other significant findings include different in scoring distribution due to home region of international students, how help provided for language was noted for high corelation with Content Satisfaction and Developmental Expectations, and the effects of Likelihood of Unforeseen Cost on orientation of staying in the hosting country post education. Research findings reveal the interaction dynamics of how domains trade-off between each other in education choice abroad.
