The Construction of Low-Carbon Renewal System of Rural Community

Abstract

Climate change has become a global issue influencing human survival and development while carbon emissions are the main factor. As the basic functional unit, community is the basic space to achieve low-carbon and use sustainable idea. China is a large agricultural country, and it is necessary to promote low-carbon community construction in rural. This paper proposes low-carbon rural community renewal system from six aspects: layout planning, traffic planning, architecture planning and design, community environment planning, municipal engineering planning and construction management. The indicators of each aspect could be divided into “technology of carbon emission control”(C indicators) and “technology of carbon sink extension”(E indicators). Then we use Analytic Network Process to analysis the dependent and feedback inside and calculate the weight of each aspect. The system could be used to indicate low-carbon degree. Finally, we select a rural community in Hubei as a case for practice.
