Cloud-based LCA Management System for Environment-efficient Society

Abstract

Recently year, the environmental problem has been the one of most important problem in the world. Inventory Database is improved and expanded to estimate environmental load such as GHG in each country. Meanwhile, it is needed to visualize for the executing of efficient policy: Evidence Based Policy. This visualization allows us to control the emission of environmental load factors. On the other hand, the most of such inventory data and its environmental information are available from only large sized enterprise. In this research, we focused on the small and medium-sized enterprise which doesn’t have enough condition to estimate, and cloud based environmental load estimation system is proposed to manage the Life Cycle Assessment for them. The cloud based system is widely available for all business scale or research units, and global supply chain can be easily considered on the cloud system. In addition, proposed system provides a function to estimate an environmental load from the personal consumption of consumers. How to embroil consumers and enterprises in fulfillment of a sustainable society is discussed.
