The Integrated Development of the Community Learning Center of Philosophy of Economic Sufficiency.  Case study: DongKraTongYam Sub-district,  SriMaHaPho District, Prachinburi Province

Abstract

The research objectives were to determine the effectiveness of rural development tactics in rural, agricultural Thailand. The action research method was conducted with DongKraTongYam Sub-district, Prachinburi, Thailand. The data were collected by mixed-method field studies, in-depth interviews, focus groups, and analyzed by mean, standard deviation and content analysis. We initiated three projects: a community collaboration initiative, open-public stages host development talks, and a community learning center was opened to promote the philosophy of self-sufficiency, in-line with Thai Royal policy. However, the action was not fully successful. The community needs government and private support, career education, a decrease of local municipal and personal debt, expansion of the Community Learning Center, and a network of local sustainable community developments.
