A Study of Sexual Value of University Students of Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok Chantaburi Campus

Abstract

This research has two main objectives: 1) to determine the sexual value of students in Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok Chanthaburi Campus. 2) to compare the sexual value of students in Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok Chanthaburi Campus, classify by sex, residence, family status, and who they live with. The samples were selected by random from 178 students. The tool which was used to collect the data was a questionnaire which was developed from the sexual value's questionnaire. Porntipa Kraitap (in 2551). The reliability of the questionnaire for sexual values internal consistency Alpha (Cronbach) was 0.85. The statistics used to analyze were the data percentage, mean, the standard deviation, and Hypothesis testing (t-test) and one-way analysis of variance. The results 1. The students of Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok Chanthaburi Campus have moderate scores on sexual values. The factor analysis of the premarital sex has the highest average and then relationships with the opposite sex and sexual communication. 2. The students of Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok Chanthaburi Campus have different sexual values between male and female students in their relationships with the opposite sex with premarital sex statistically significant at the level of 0. 05. Students with different residential also have the different sexual values statistically significant at the level of 0. 05.
