The target group is carefully chosen by the author as students are introduced to research through the capstone project which is predominantly a part of the curriculum in the final year undergraduate courses and the post graduate courses. A survey was conducted using a pretested assessment tool on the target group, this paper talks about the statistical results of the same. This paper also compares the attitude of research in students from different specialisations, male and female students, first generation graduates and non first generation graduates.
