Problem Statement: Sometimes people try to explain the feelings and thoughts in life by using metaphors. These metaphors may be named as trope, figure of speech, figure or metaphors. Metaphors also contain a powerful way of narrative art. These metaphors may provide researchers consistent information on educational atmosphere. They may affect ideas and feelings of sides of educational atmosphere, healthy operation. Teacher may be liken to certain beings by students. This is a natural phenomenon. Evaluation of this phenomenon may have significant contribution in preparation, evaluation and development of teacher course curriculums. Problem Sentence: What does academic member means for students and to what they liken to? Does these likening and expressions change in a meaningful manner depending on sex? What are the opinions of students in this issue? Methods: In the research, qualitative and quantitative research method’s focused group discussion is used. Opinions of students studying in faculty of education in 2 universities in city of Konya in Turkey are received. Focused group interviews are made with students randomly chosen from this group. Metaphors, analogies, idioms identified. Data reduction, validation was used to show off the result. Findings and Results: Students generally describe academic members by positive or negative analogies. They explain why they are making such analogies about academic members at focused group discussions. According to this data it can be said that, students’ analogies about academic members, ideas and feelings are in positive and negative dimensions and some of them vary depending on the sex.
