Abstract

This study is an investigation of users’ behaviors of posting and commenting in five education- related subreddits: r/teaching, r/Teachers, r/education, r/teachingresources, and r/CSEducation. The data were analyzed for the period from January 2018 until May 2019. Comparative analysis revealed some differences among the five results showing that the r/Teachers subreddit has the most engagement scores and active users’ percentages while the r/education subreddit has the lowest score of engagement although it has the second-highest number of contributions (submissions and comments).
