Blog for Sex Education for Teenagers

Abstract

In Mexico, we have a growing number of unwanted pregnancies in teenagers. The government family planning programs have failed in more than three decades to reduce the number of teenage pregnancies. The problem is not only pregnancy, but poverty of girls too. The Voluptuosidades Blog is a pedagogical virtual space for cross sex education through the Information Technologies and Communication, highlighting the formation of an erotic nature, the feelings (what do I feel?, why do I feel this way? and how it feels?) and nutrition of the subject as self-affirmation. The categories of analysis that form this blog are: feelings, body, erotic, nutrition, pleasure, volition, human rights and health. The blog will feature interviews, videos, informational text, instructional material and a chat that allows teens to obtain the necessary information about sexuality from a perspective that teaches the importance of the body and its care. Using new technologies for the sexual education of teenagers is critical because even in social networks is shared a lot of misinformation about sexuality issues and it is essential too that the educators get involved and use these networks to inform teens truthfully about sexuality and help solve this problematic that has Mexico. It is essential to teach not only contraceptives, it is also necessary to educate sentimentally for make better decisions about their bodies and their sexuality.
