The most demanding challange before us is that Education all over the world has completely failed to make compasssionate and responsible human beings. Present century is known for explosion of knowledge. In this flood of knowledge Education has neglected the over all personality development of the child. There is a need to re-invent and re-structure the aims of Education, for children to grow into knowlegeable, compassionate and creative individuals. A study of Self Actualisation in relation to Altruism,Creativity and Personality Factors among high school studends revealed a significant positive correlation between:- Self- Actualisation, Altruism, and Creativity. Self-Actualisation and Personality Factors-warm hearted, tender minded, self sufficient enthusiastic and circumspect. Altruism and Personality Factors --intelligent, emotionally stable, demonstrative, conscientious, adventurous, tender minded, controlled and relaxed. Creativity and Personality Factors--intelligent, emotionally stable, conscientious, tender minded, self assured , self sufficient, controlled and obedient In view of the positive Personality Factors required for a child to grow into a self actualiser altruistic, compassionate and creative, there is a need to restructure the aims of Education. Every child has a right to be protected from social evils detrimental to his personality. Personality tests should be administered to the students at the time of routine health check up at schools to diagnose any psychological stress. Value education should be made compulsory. A minimum common universal syllabus be made compulsory at all levels of education for all countries for international recognition of their educational courses and degrees.
