A Case Study of the Impact on Reading Ability of Students with Learning Disability as Using Multi-Sensory Reading Materials in Elementary Schools of Taiwan

Abstract

In recent years, Taiwanese students’ performance in an international valuation has declined compared to the previous years. The reason is the lack of reading ability, which leads to the lack of reading comprehension ability, and makes reading one of the hard cores of education in Taiwan nowadays. From the Ministry of Education to local governments and even schools invest more effort and funds in the promotion of reading activities. In this research, a case study is to see the impact on reading ability of students with learning disability by using Multi-sensory reading materials to teach and test the student.
And I expect to reach the following
- Multi-sensory reading materials can raise reading ability of the student in study case
- Multi-sensory reading materials can raise reading fluency of the student in study case
- Multi-sensory reading materials can raise reading comprehensive ability of the student in study case
