The phenomenon of the Thai film “How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies (Boonnitipat, 2024),” one of 15 qualified films for the Longlist for Oscar for the Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award winners, becomes a history of Thai films. One interesting and noticeable aspect is the recent increase in number of female characters in Thai films. This research aimed to analyze the characteristics of female characters in Thai films by GDH 559 based on the Enneagram and media representation concepts. Female characters from nine Thai films: Love Destiny 2 (Trisirikasem, 2022), OMG! (Kerdtongtawee, 2022), You and Me and Me (Hongvivatana & Hongvivatana, 2023), Home For Rent (Sakdaphisit, 2023), Not Friends (Hemwadee, 2023), How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies (Boonnitipat, 2024), The Paradise of Thorns (Kuno, 2024), 404 Run Run (Jarusboonpracha, 2024), and Flat Girls (Wongsutin, 2025) were analyzed. Results illustrated that the characteristics of female characters included strength, leadership, decisiveness, generosity, intelligence, caution, gentleness, vulnerability, and emotional depth. These images of female characters in Thai films have gained more significance than in the past.
