Digital Literacy Skill of Students in Public Higher Education Institutes

Abstract

This research is the quality research with the objective of studying the digital literacy skill of students in public higher education institutes. A structured questionnaire was used as a tool for the study and the samples were 6 experts in digital learning, education science, and teaching methodology, who were selected by purposive sampling. By analyzing the idea, the principle and the parts constituting the digital literacy of the students in public higher education institutes, it is understood that the digital literacy means the ability to use the digital technology, the communication devices and the network in the digital environment to live the life efficiently. The digital literacy is composed of 8 elements: 1) Access 2) Manage 3) Integrate 4) Evaluate 5) Create 6) Communication 7) Analysis 8) Synthesis.
