Various educational applications has successfully utilized multimedia in learning environment. Many researchers agree that multimedia can facilitate learning through its advantages. However, there are differences in developing multimedia application for young children and develop multimedia application for adult. Children are different than adults in the way they think and learn, and this difference changes over time until adulthood. The challenges facing by designer of children�s application is to design an application according to children capabilities, needs and expectations. The application designed and discussed in this paper was specifically for building children�s knowledge about child sexual abuse. Guidelines for Educational Websites for Children by Meloncon, Haynes, Varelmann & Groh (2010) adopted in this design as a guide to refer. This guideline contains 10 elements of design guidelines for children and the elements are group in three categories which are navigation, appearance and content. A group of 360 primary school students age between seven and nine years old which divided into gender group of boys and girls were selected as a respondents. Knowledge and Awareness Survey (KAS) have been used as the instrument to assess the children�s knowledge of child sexual abuse before and after the use the application. The results show that children�s knowledge has been increase after they use the application for both boys and girl. However, it was found that girls are more attracted to the application compared to boys.
